The Lattas
We have traveled all around the United States and Western Europe, but for comfort,  relaxation, and genuine hospitality, I can honestly say that our weekend at Lois Jane's Bed and Breakfast ranks as one of our fondest memories. Several family members and friends stayed at the Bed and Breakfast and motel where Jeremy Truett was our host. From the first conversation to our good-byes, we felt that Jeremy had our comfort and interest at heart. He has an easy "Southern" way about him, (I'm Southern through and through and there aren't many gentlemen left), that makes you feel that everything is going to be exactly as you expect - and more...We planned to marry in Southport, so Jeremy kindly suggested using the Inn as our location; he said he "sings and plays guitar a little".  To our surprise and joy, he sings and plays guitar and harmonica very well, as he did for our little ceremony in the garden of Lois Jane's. Each evening, as we sat on the veranda, Jeremy joined us with a carafe of wine and fresh-picked strawberries and serenaded us in the cool spring breeze. He fitted into our "family" so comfortably, we didn't view him as an "Innkeeper" at all, but a part of our party. Yet, he maintained a professional distance, so as not to intrude. Jeremy, your presence is always welcome with us, as we hope our presence is always welcome at Lois Jane's. You have a talent for making people feel welcome, comfortable and genuinely happy. We are already trying to find time in our schedule for our next trip to beautiful Southport and Lois Jane's, where the people are so comfortable with themselves that everyone who visits must feel comfortable, also. By the way, the Inn itself is beautifully furnished with family antiques and speaks volumes of those who originally inhabited the lovely home. We slept like well-fed/loved babies in the comfortable beds.....Thank you.
