Chris L Great cast, interesting premise and lost of beautiful people. What could go wrong? Everything else.Awful movie Rated 1.5/5 Stars • Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Ravenswood R Fragmented and shoddily put together jumble of a story with an interesting and amusing performance by Christopher Walken. The story is very poorly explicated. It has a mood you can never quite put your finger on, kind of sardonic but also dreary. There really does not seem to be any story worth telling. The end is so annoying and confusing that if you make it that long you will regret not switching it off. Everything this has to offer is over in the first 30 minutes, the rest is repetitive and redundant, with actual scenes repeated several times for no apparent reason. Rated 2/5 Stars • Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/01/24 Full Review Barasona Adaptation of the homonymous story written by William Gibson manages to faithfully capture a monologue by the protagonist in a somewhat more traditional film style. The performances are impeccable and the setting is very well achieved. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Abel Faraera exploits every woman he films, he just cant help it and walkin and dafeo join in. bad script, lame story and horrible cinematography Rated 1/5 Stars • Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review kevin c I dug this movie, it feels almost like a play the way it's filmed and how claustrophobic it feels at times. Christopher Walken and Willem Dafoe hatch a plan to steal information from a Japanese businessman by hiring a beautiful woman played to perfection by Asia Argento to seduce him even though Dafoe's character is falling for her, as is this viewer. Directed by Abel Ferrara. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member If Longo's earlier adaptation leans heavily into the "cyber" component of Gibson's dystopic universe, Ferrara's is more in line with a "punk" sensibility, a subversively lo-fi (or LoTek) aesthetic that is more mood than motivation, all despairing alienation and nebulous fragmentation that is dreamy both in its existentialist yearning and soporific dawdling.
